    Financial Information

  • International Student Loan Program. ISLP is a loan program for international students to study in U.S. colleges. Offered by the IEFC (International Education Finance Corporation) ISLP provides financing up to the total cost of education in US dollars, with flexible repayment options and up to 20 years to repay.

  • For comprehensive information on how to obtain scholarships, loans or grants for study in the U.S., visit eduPASS. This site also contains much useful general information for international students wishing to study in the U.S.

  • You can search for available international student grants by field of study at International Education Financial Aid (IEFA).

  • Another opportunity to explore: a Department of State Fulbright grant. There are 5,000 grants issued every year under the Fulbright program to enable U.S. and international students to study at a graduate level in other countries. ESL

  • Learn English online at Englishtown. Improve your English language skills through online classes and chat. You can build your vocabulary, improve your grammar. You'll even be able to polish your speaking ability, one-on-one with an instructor, through internet chat technology. Reasonable monthly fees give you access to as many courses as you want to take. Or practice your communications skills with other students in an online community, for free.

  • Get information on how to choose a program, or search for an ESL program near you through the American Association of Intensive English Programs.

  • For information about learning English as a second language, including a listing of available schools, visit Embark.com. You can even apply online through the Embark website. While you're there, you can also search the database for colleges of interest.

  • International students looking for the nearest English as a Second Language program will find the ESL Directory helpful. Students can search by program, state and/or country (although most of the listings are currently in the U.S.). Each listing gives a full description of the program, including estimated costs, class sizes, enrollment and application information.
