Marist College
Poughkeepsie NY, serves the adult student with a
variety of programs, locations and schedules.
There are two completely online degrees available: the M.B.A.
and a Master's in Public Administration (M.P.A.).
Two extension facilities bring quality Marist courses to
students in nearby towns of Fishkill and Goshen. The new Fishkill
center opened in October 2000, complete with computer lab.
The Integrative Major helps returning students maximize
previous college credits. This flexible degree also allows
students to personalize their programs by combining
cross-disciplinary fields.
Students can choose from a wide array of majors, as well as a
series of shorter-term undergraduate certificate programs in
popular subjects such as Paralegal and Systems Analysis.
Weekend, evening and accelerated classes are available at all
three locations.
Deep in the heart of IBM country, Marist is renowned as a leader
in the innovative use of technology. It was ranked 18th out of
146 colleges and universities in the northern U.S. by U.S. News &
World Report. Marist was also rated in the top 15% of colleges
and universities in New York State in terms of admissions
selectivity by Time/Princeton Review.
The college offers strong programs in computer science,
communications, education, psychology and public administration,
among others.
